About Us
Little Fellowship is a church based independent dual medium nursery school in the secure and safe environment of the Fellowship Church of Melkbosstrand. The school falls under the vision and auspices of the church.
Learner
It is an inclusive school, with a ratio of 80% mainstream learners and 20% special needs Downs Syndrome learners. All Downs Syndrome children will be assessed to establish whether or not the school can accommodate their individual needs by an approved occupational therapist.
Curriculum
Is designed to teach the children in an integrated approach meeting the needs of all the children in a differentiated class environment.
Program will incorporate all the different learning styles needed for the varying needs of the children. The special needs learners will have their additional needs catered for within the framework of their age group.
Learning
Play is the cornerstone of the pre-primary class. The school’s aim is to incorporate play and structured activities based on the Western Cape Education Department Curriculum. The integrated approach facilitates all areas of learning around a weekly theme incorporating literacy, numeracy and life skills which include gross motor activities, drama, creative work and music.
All learning will incorporate a Christian worldview and foster a love for and dedication
to Jesus through the use of Bible stories, rhymes and songs.

Its an inclusive school, with a ratio of 80% mainstream learners and 20% Downs Syndrome learners. Although it is an independent school, the Western Cape Education Department syllabus will be followed in an integrated approach to accommodate all the needs of the learners.

The school will have three classes, grade 000 (age 3-4), grade 00 (age 4-5), and grade R (age 5-6) with the maximum of fifteen learners per class. Each class will be taught by a qualified teacher and assistant who will work flexibly between the classes as needed. Depending on the specific needs of the special needs learners, additional staff will be allocated.
